Hari Sama
Hari Sama is a Mexican musician and filmmaker
He studied filmmaking at Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica, and music composition at the Musical Studies and Research Center. He is a keyboardist and clarinet player, and one of the lead singers from the experimental dark rock band EURIDICE.
He is a founding partner of the production company Catatonia Films. As an advertising film director, Hari is one of the most acclaimed directors in Mexico.
His short films have participated at some of the most important festivals in the world and received awards such as the Mayahuel for best short film at the Guadalajara International Film Festival in two separate occasions, the Audience Award at the Morelia International Film Festival, the award for Best Short Film at the Mexico Section in the Japanese Short Shorts Film Festival, the Special Jury Prize at the Biarritz Film Festival in France, the 2008 award for Best Latin American Short Film at the Cero Latitud Film Festival in Quito, Ecuador, and the Audience Award at the La Pedrera Short Film Festival in Montevideo, Uruguay.
