"A California Christmas" is a Netflix Original feature film.  It was shot in Petaluma, CA in July 2020 one of the first film productions to start during the pandemic with the then very new COVID safety protocols.  Upon release on December 14, 2020 the film shot to #1 in the U.S. and stayed there for 4 days, and to #1 in the World for 9 days.  The film was the #1 film on Netflix for the two weeks leading up to and including Christmas, the #2 movie for the month of December and the #13 movie for all of 2020, in spite of being in release for only two weeks. "A California Christmas" was quickly greenlit for a sequel "A California Christmas: City Lights" as announced in Variety.
